Why is my worker Failing POTL?

Proof of Time Lock (POTL) ensures that your worker remains connected without interruptions for a full hour. It is based on the Proof of Work (POW) test that verifies your worker's uptime and stability.

If your worker is failing the POTL test, here are potential reasons and how to resolve them:

1️⃣ What is POTL?

  • POTL measures the stability and connection uptime of your worker over a 60-minute window. The worker must maintain a seamless connection without disconnections or interruptions to pass this test.

2️⃣ Verify Internet Speed

  • To pass the POTL test, your worker must meet the following internet speed requirements:
    • Download Speed: Minimum of 500 Mb/s
    • Upload Speed: Minimum of 250 Mb/s

3️⃣ Improve Poor Connectivity

Poor internet connection can lead to POTL failure because timely tasks associated with POTL and POW will not be completed. To improve connectivity:

  • Switch to a LAN connection instead of Wi-Fi to enhance connection stability.

4️⃣ Do Not Use VPN

Using a VPN is strictly prohibited for this service. VPNs can:

  • Prevents your worker from completing required tasks.
  • May significantly weaken the network connection.

Using VPN will lead your worker to Blocked/Terminated, All Earned Block rewards will be slashed.

Ensure that your worker operates on a direct, unrestricted connection for optimal performance.
